Investigation of Home Energy Management with Advanced Direct Load Control and Optimal Scheduling of Controllable Loads

Due to the rapid changes in energy situation on a global scale, amount of RES installed using clean renewable sources such as Photovoltaic (PV) and Wind-power Generators (WGs) is rapidly increasing. As result, there has been great deal research aimed at promoting adoption energy. Research Demand-side Management (DSM) also important RES. However, massive introduction PV changed shape demand curve for electricity, which significantly impacts operational planning thermal generators. Therefore, this paper proposes an Advanced Direct Load Control (ADLC) model temporarily shutdown electric connection between power grid Smart Houses (SHs). The most feature proposed that it shuts down with grid. performed twice increase load during daytime hours reduce peak night-time hours. promotes self-consumption generated period, expected operating cost. This considers six case studies SH, costs carbon dioxide emissions are compared discussed. results show SH ADLC successfully reduces emissions.
